A local venue is selected each month to host the event in order to showcase a variety of businesses in the Southwest Florida community. Venues are often chosen to take the "mystery" out of a certain industry and highlight a local business owner who provides that service to the community.      

EVENT DATE & TIME

Wellness Wednesday is held on the 4^th Wednesday monthly, from 5:00pm -7:00pm.

Special Wellness Wednesday events are occasionally held in the afternoon from 11:00am -1:00pm

Start/stop time of event may fluctuate by one half hour if necessary in order to accommodate a venue.

Venue’s must be prepared to allow showcase vendors access to set up, a maximum of 45 minutes prior but no less than 30 minutes from start of event. 

HOST VENUE REQUIREMENTS

While there is a fee to be a showcase vendor at a Wellness Wednesday event, there is no fee to be a host venue. The Florida Wellness Network is committed to showcasing businesses in Southwest Florida that add value to the local community.

A host venue must fit the following basic criteria for initial consideration:

1) Room to allow set up of minimum 12 showcase vendors (12 @ 4’x4’ tables)

2) Fire code capacity to allow for minimum 65 guests on premises.

3) Ample parking in the nearby vicinity of venue for guests.

Additional Requirements:

The host venue provides light refreshments for a minimum of 65 guests and a grand prize which, which will be advertised leading up to the date of the event. The grand prize should have a minimum value of $75, preferably between $75 -$100, or several smaller prizes that equal an enticing grand prize. (Example: Three $50 Shopping Spree's, Two $75 Salon Make-Overs). People love to win prizes. Consider that the more extravagant the grand prize, the more people will want to win that prize,  and attend your event! The venue's only marketing cost (which may be tax deductible) for this event is the refreshments and prizes so consider this when choosing your prizes.

MARKETING & PROMOTION

The Florida Wellness Network provides all marketing and promotion for the event, and includes cross promotion at local business networking events, email campaigns to our opt-in mailing list in addition to co-operative networking group alliance mailers, blogging and intensive social networking campaigns. Average attendance per event is 85 - 100+ attendees. The venue is encouraged to use their mailing lists and contacts to increase attendance. The venue will receive a custom made brochure which can be used as handouts and/or in an email campaign of their own.

VENDOR SHOWCASE

The Florida Wellness Network requires that the venue provide space for a minimum of 12 vendors to set up to showcase their products. Each vendor requires a minimum of 4’x 4’ of space. These vendors generally, but are not limited to include professionals such as, health & medical professionals, insurance brokers or agents, health food stores, green & eco-friendly products, home-based healthy products, diet & nutrition products, etc. If there are products the venue has a conflict with, we ask that you let us know ahead of time and we will not include those specific types of vendors for that event. (Example: hair products at a hair salon).

MASSAGE

At each event we include a massage therapist who offers complimentary 5 -10 minutes chair massage to our attendees. If your business has a massage therapist on staff we require that they offer this service free of charge for the evening.  We discourage tipping unless the proceeds are given to the non-profit we support, Hope Hospice.
